About the event
More and more, we live in a disembodied, dysregulated and sometimes dissociated state. The state of the world, our communities and life in general feel difficult, and collectively, we are more sad, frazzled, angered, numb and divided than ever.
June 18th: This week's program explores holding tensions of duality. Do you feel happy and also frustrated? Sad and also joyful? So often, we carry two truths at the same time, and through this week's program, you'll move through frequent emotional tensions, gaining self-coping resources and holding space to allow all that is within you.
This *somatic series is designed to help:
- give you space to find what is important to you - physically, emotionally and energetically
- bring you back into alignment with your values
- hold space for the truth in your heart and spirit
- curate kindness, curiosity and grace
- foster a community of like-minded souls
Living in a state of duality between our truth and the realities of modern life can create rifts between mind, body and spirit. Each week, we’ll look at what is real and true for us in the moment and learn to identify emotional cues within the body. Building this innate body wisdom guides us into greater trust and safety (coregulation) to balance the challenges of daily life. Through reuniting mind, body and spirit, we have more access to embodied choice and discernment for how we engage with the world around us.
Led by Sheryl Fatse and Jennifer Rizza, the programs are yoga-based, with gentle movements and no prior experience with yoga is required. The series meets Tuesdays in June from 6:30-8pm. Join us for 1 or all classes, each week we’ll have a focused theme. We offer this on a donation basis, feeling called to offer this into the community to promote collective healing and support. No one should feel they cannot participate due to cost. Please, join us and feel welcome, just as you are.
Weekly sessions will have space for discussion, breathwork, somatic movement and meditation to support your process.
*This series is experiential and educational and is not meant to replace psychotherapy.
