About the event
This is an in-person, in-studio class.
This practice blends the more traditionally energetic (yang) flow of yoga with a complementary restorative and restful (yin) renewal, all in an easeful approach. The movement of yoga retrains energy flows in the body and the restful restorative poses bring stillness and inner calm, using supportive pillows, blankets and blocks.
The class will include 25-30 minutes of gentle asana flow, inviting the body to move out energy from the week, followed by 30-35 minutes of restorative poses supported by props, guided meditation and pranayama (breathwork) to replenish and reset.
Your teacher, Jen Rizza, will guide you through a series of traditional yoga postures, all readily modified to meet you and your level of practice. Through the asana flow portion of class, you'll be invited to move through more traditional vinyasa poses, though at a slower and more mindful pace than an energetic practice. During the restorative portion of class, you'll be guided into supported yoga postures, designed to allow you space to relax, recover, refresh. A restorative yoga practice slows down the body and mind, allowing space for reconnection in your central being.
Free your Friday, let go of the week, and tune back into your body and mind, ready for a refreshing weekend!
Postures can be modified for all body types and ability levels. Some prior yoga experience is preferred, please reach out to Jen with any questions! firstname.lastname@example.org
